Meet the teacher

Jennifer Groves

Jennifer is a Biology teacher with over fifteen years of teaching and examining under her belt, meaning she holds extensive knowledge of the exam marking process. Passionate about the subject and someone who enjoys building your confidence in knowledge and exam technique, Jennifer received a Teacher Recognition Award from the Institute of Biology of Ireland in recognition of her students achieving 100% in their Leaving Certificate Biology examination.

A co-author of the textbook “Biology in Practice”, Jennifer likes to make Biology feel simple and relatable, breaking down complex topics into manageable steps and using real-life examples, diagrams and memory techniques to help key concepts stick. She likes to keep her classes interactive and focused on you, encouraging you to get involved, have a go and ask questions, even if you’re unsure of the answer. She aims to create a relaxed and positive class where you stay engaged, and finish feeling more confident than when you started.
